Nathan Lissy

Nathan Lissy is first-class cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy and a Research Assistant at the Center for Global Security Research (CGSR), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

His research in integrated deterrence across multiple domains between the United States, Russia, and China supports CGSR’s efforts in discussing nuclear and strategic deterrence stability between great powers, as well as exploring multi-domain deterrence initiatives.

At the Air Force Academy, Nathan is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Political Science with a focus in International Relations, as well as a minor in Nuclear Weapons and Strategy. He hopes to attend graduate school following his time at the Air Force Academy.

Nathan’s true passion lies at Davis Airfield, where he competes with the USAFA Precision Flying Team, playing a key role in winning the Team’s 36th and 37th consecutive NIFA Regional Championships, placing top-ten nationally in both flight events. He was selected as Flying Team Commander for the coming academic year, and hopes to take his aviation and leadership skills with him to Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training at Sheppard Air Force Base to pursue his lifelong goal of becoming a fighter pilot.
